Jeep seat covers buying guide

By Ostrall · Updated October 20, 2026

With seat covers, fit decides almost everything: a cover that fits beats an expensive one that slides around. Ostrall asks which Jeep it is for and reads the models and years from every listing, so you see only covers made for yours.

What Ostrall asks to narrow it down

Model and generation

Covers are made for a specific model and range of years. Wrangler generations are the YJ (1987–1995), TJ (1997–2006), JK (2007–2018) and JL (2018 on); the Gladiator is the JT (2020 on). The Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Compass and Renegade each have their own seat shapes.

2-door or 4-door, and the rear seat

A 2-door Wrangler and a 4-door Unlimited have different rear benches, and rear seats split differently between models and years. Rear covers are cut to match the split, armrest and cup holders.

Side-airbag and heated seats

Many Jeep front seats have an airbag in the outer side of the seat. Covers made for those seats have tear-away stitching on that side and are labelled side-airbag compatible. Many Canadian Jeeps also have heated front seats: thicker covers slow the warmth getting through, and some listings say whether a cover is made for heated seats.

Materials

Custom fit or universal

Custom-fit covers are cut for your exact seats, with openings for headrests, belts, child-seat anchors and levers. Universal covers cost less. Extras such as MOLLE webbing and seat-back pockets add storage.

Let Ostrall find it

Search in your own words. Ostrall asks only the question your search leaves open, then shows the seat covers that fit, with today's prices in Canadian dollars, from stores such as Canadian Tire and Walmart, and a link straight to each store's product page.

Results come closest match first, then what is in stock, then the cheapest delivered price. No store pays to rank.
